Delphine Mendez de Leon joined Chamberlain College of Nursing as COO effective January 9.

Houston resident Delphine Mendez de Leon joined Chamberlain College of Nursing as

Chief Operating Officer effective January 9. She will oversee pre-licensure (campus) and post-licensure (online) operations. She brings 30+ years of healthcare systems and academic leadership to this role.

Prior to joining Chamberlain, Mendez de Leon served as managing director at Huron Healthcare Consulting Group. Previous roles include vice president of operations and institutional advancement at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, and senior director of program development and planning at New York University Medical Center.

She is a board member and part-time professor at Columbia University School of Nursing. Additionally, she sits on the board of directors for the Hispanic Federation and the Beacon House. Mendez de Leon is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, American College of Healthcare Executives and American Organization of Nurse Executives.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Public Health and Master of Business Administration from Columbia University in New York.
