Houston’s Jewish Community Center One of 10 Nationally To Receive Presidents Day Bomb Threat

Evelyn Rubenstein Center is one of 10 Jewish Community Centers targeted today with threatening calls of a bomb

HOUSTON, TX -- Houston's Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center was evacuated Monday after officials at the center received a bomb threat.

It was one of 10 that were received at Jewish Community Center's nationwide on President's Day.

Although the threat was deemed non-credible, it’s the latest in a long list of bomb threats that have been phoned in to 69 other Jewish Community Centers in the U.S. in recent months.

Officials said the calls have all come through either a person or robocalls phoned to the centers.

However, officials have not said which type of call was received at the Evelyn Rubenstein Center, but officials said the previous threats meant they were ready.

The FBI is investigating these incidents.
