Husband Wanted In Houston Influencer's Killing Found Dead: Report

Tom Sharkey was found dead of an apparent suicide in Fort Myers after authorities tried to arrest him.

HOUSTON, TX — The husband wanted in connection with the murder of an Instagram influencer in Houston has been found dead in Fort Myers, Florida.

Tom Sharkey, husband of Alexis Sharkey, who was killed in November 2020 in Houston, was found dead of an apparent suicide by police while attempting to make an arrest at approximately 1 a.m. Wednesday, according to a report from NBC2 in Fort Myers.

Police were looking for Tom Sharkey, who had a warrant out for his arrest, in connection with the killing of his wife, Alexis Sharkey.

Alexis Sharkey had built a following on Instagram showing off beauty products. She was found dead in a vehicle on Red Haw Lane near Interstate 10 on Nov. 28, and it was later determined she died of strangulation, according to authorities.
