Intense Pawn Shop Robbery Caught On Video Near Midtown

The coordinated robbery happened Dec. 5 on Almeda.

HOUSTON, TX -- The Houston Police Department is searching for six men seen on surveillance video robbing a pawn shop near midtown Dec. 5. The men can be seen rushing into Cash America Pawn at 4521 Almeda at 6:55 p.m., HPD wrote on YouTube.

"Two suspects armed with a handgun and rifle forced the employees to get down in the store. The suspects carrying a hammer immediately began to break the glass while the other suspect placed the jewelry in a bag," HPD wrote.

The suspects appeared to wear heavy duty gloves in order to not get cut while removing the glass from the cases. They were able to take several pieces of jewelry as well as a large sum of money, HPD added.

The suspects fled in a black Cadillac SUV with paper plates.

Suspect #1: Black clothing, red Nike shoes and handgun
Suspect #2: Black clothing, white shoes and rifle
Suspect #3: Black clothing, yellow gloves and black Nike shoes
Suspect #4: Black clothing, dark shoes and hammer
Suspect #5: Black clothing and carried a white bag
Suspect #6: Black clothing, black shoes and was the look-out at the door.
