La Porte Man Faces 4th DWI Charge

LA PORTE, TX — The watchful eye of a motorist on State Highway 146 may have saved a few lives after he spotted a man who police said was intoxicated.

The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon near Fairmont Parkway.

Investigators said the witness was driving along side a vehicle that appeared to be driving erratically, and called 911.

Police were able to catch up to the driver and pull the vehicle over a short time later.

According to a KTRK report, when officers stopped Antonio Santana, they could smell the alcohol in his vehicle, as well as other indications he’d been drinking.

Santana was arrested and taken to jail, and could faces charges for his fourth DWI incident.
