Livestream Texas vs. Rhode Island In Little League World Series

The Post Oak Little Leaguers from Houston will play Coventry on Thursday evening. Here's how you can watch.

WILLIAMSPORT, PA — The Little League World Series is officially underway and the boys from Texas will take on a tough Rhode Island team in their first game. The Post Oak Little League team from Houston will play Coventry at 7 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday. The game will be played on the storied Howard J. Lamade Stadium in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The game will air on ESPN. You can watch a live stream of it on WatchESPN (you'll need a subscription) or follow along in real time on Gamechanger.

Post Oak went undefeated (4-0 )in the regional tournament and is coming off an impressive 8-0 shutout last week over Oklahoma to win the Southwest championship. The team shined on both offense and defense, scoring a whopping 43 runs and giving up just five. Six hitters ended with an OPS — on base percentage plus slugging percentage — of over 1.100, including Ryan Selvaggi and Richie Klosek, who each swatted a pair of home runs. Selvaggi leads the team in runs scored with eight while Klosek leads the team in RBIs with nine.

Selvaggi has also dominated on the mound, tossing a team-high 7.1 innings and giving up just two hits. He earned a perfect 0.00 ERA and struck out 15 batters, though he did issue seven walks. Fellow pitcher Carter Pitts has been stellar in his own right, turning in 6.1 innings of four-hit ball. He also earned a perfect 0.00 ERA and struck out 10 batters while issuing just two free passes.
