Lufkin All-Stars Take First Game With 5-1 Win Over Great Lakes All-Stars
Texas Proud: Lufkin Wins First LL World Series Tourney Game Against talented Great Lake Squad, will face New England All-Stars on Sunday.

WILLIAMSPORT, PA — Hunter Ditsworth went the distance for the Southwest Team and added two homeruns in the night as the Lufkin All-Stars defeated the Great Lakes All-Stars 5-1 in their first Little League World Series Tournament.
Ditsworth, who allowed two hits on the mound, had a monster game offensively hitting his first home run of the tournament in the 2nd inning.

Ditsworth followed that with his second home run, and an RBI in the 3rd inning making the score 3-0 in the bottom of the third inning.

In what may be a first n Little League World Series history, the Texas squad followed Ditsworth with back-to-back homeruns from Collin Ross and Clayton Wigley, making the score 5-0 closing out the 3rd inning.
The Lufkin All-Stars held a talented Great Lakes All-Star team scoreless until the 6th inning, when Will Pflaum homered into right field to add a score.

The teams have the next two days off, with the Great Lake All-Stars onboard to play the Mid-Atlantic All-Stars at 3 p.m. Saturday, while the Southwest All-Stars will face the New England All-Stars at 11 a.m. Sunday.
