KATY, TX – A man and his two teen stepdaughters were found dead with gunshot wounds inside a Katy apartment early Sunday and authorities are investigating their deaths as a homicide.
A woman called them around 3:30 a.m. Sunday when she returned home from a night out and couldn't find her family members, Ed Gonzalez of the Harris County Sheriff's Office told reporters. Deputies arrived at the home near Silver Hawk Drive and Wildhawk Drive and found three bodies upstairs.
According to The Chronicle, the victims were identified as Victor Portillo, 14-year-old Maria Perez and 15-year-old Isabella Perez. Authorities said their bodies showed clear signs of trauma and it appears they died inside the home.
