Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3200 Tidwell Road

Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at 3200 Tidwell Road about 5:50 a.m. on Monday (December 9).

The identity of the male victim, 62, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Ogden reported:

The victim, a pedestrian, was attempting to cross Tidwell Road near the intersection of Edell Street when he failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a red Lincoln vehicle that fled the scene. The victim was transported to Memorial Herman Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
