Man Killed In Airline Drive Shooting

The shooting happened in the parking lot of a restaurant, police said.

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5414 Airline Drive about 7:50 p.m. on Monday (Feb. 10).

The victim, Christepher Howard, 27, was pronounced deceased at an area hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Officers R. Montalvo and B. Smith reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call in the parking lot of a restaurant at the above address. They learned Mr. Howard drove to the restaurant at the request of his girlfriend, who went to the bathroom inside the business while Howard waited in the car. Witnesses stated a lone male suspect approached Howard's car and shot him several times as he was getting out of the car. The suspect then fled the scene. Paramedics transported Howard to the hospital.
