Man Posing As Police Officer Rapes Victim During Traffic Stop

Police release sketch of man who committed sexual assault while posing as a police officer.

HOUSTON, TX — Police are looking for a man who they say posed as a police officer and comitted an aggravated sexually assault.

The incident happened at about 3 a.m. on April 2 in the 9900 block of Sugar Branch Drive, in southwest Houston.

Investigators said the man stopped the car, forced the victim out of their car, handcuffed them, and drove to a remote area where the alleged police officer sexually assaulted the victim. The suspect is a light-skinned black man believed to be in his late 20s to early 40s, with a muscular build, 6-feet tall and about 240 pounds, KPRC reported.

The man was driving a black Ford Crown Victoria four-door with emergency lights on top and white lettering on the sides and back, KTRK reported.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and charging of the person responsible.
