Houston police are investigating the stabbing of man at 1901 Fannin Street about 6 p.m. on Sunday (November 24).
The victim, Joshua J. Jones, 27, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer A. Le reported:
HPD patrol officers were flagged down regarding a stabbing incident under a bridge at the above address. A male, Mr. Jones, had been stabbed multiple times. Officers provided medical assistance until HFD paramedics arrived and transported him to the hospital.
According to witnesses, Jones attempted to retrieve a blanket the suspect was standing on. When Jones grabbed the blanket, he was stabbed by the suspect, who then fled the scene.
