Man Wanted For Killing Ex-Girlfriend's New Beau

Adrian Mondragon, 22, is wanted in connection with the murder of a man outside an AMC theater on Saturday night.

HOUSTON, TX — Homicide investigators have filed murder charges against a 22-year old man, in the shooting death of a man outside of a movie theater Saturday night.

Charges were announced on Monday against Adrian Mondragon, who witnesses said shot and killed his ex-girlfriend's current boyfriend as the couple left a movie theater at 11801 South Sam Houston Parkway East.

As the couple walked out, the girlfriend said they were confronted by Mondragon, who was armed with a rifle.

During the confrontation, Mondragon fired the rifle at the boyfriend, hitting him once in the chest and drove off in a black Chevrolet pickup.

The boyfriend died from his wounds.

His identity has not been released, pending next of kin notification.

Meanwhile, Mondragon remains at large and is consided armed and dangerous.
