Man Who Claimed Police Brutality in 2010 Case is Arrested for Capital Murder
Chad Holley is accused in the September robbery and murder of David Trejo-Gonzalez.

HOUSTON, TX -- The man, who in 2010 made international news for being at the center of a Houston police brutality case, is charged with capital murder in the shooting death of a man earlier this year.
Chad Holley, 22, is charged with killing David Trejo-Gonzalez, 42, during an armed robbery on Sept. 21.
Police said that Trejo-Gonzalez was walking from his car to his apartment in the 100 block of East Crosstimbers, when he was stopped by Holley who demanded his money.

In the course of the robbery, Holley allegedly shot Trejo-Gonzalez to death, and fled the area in a low-rider style white pickup that was driven by someone else.
Holley had a long list of arrests or theft and burglary prior to this, and was the center of a police brutality investigation in 2010, when surveillance from a nearby business recorded several Houston police officers beating and kicking Holley after they’d apprehended him during a foot chase from the scene of a burglary.

The case resulted several officers being disciplined or fired.
Holley is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
