Marilyn Manson Collapses on Stage During Houston Concert
Popular Shock Rocker Forced to Cut Show Short After Stage Collapse

Marilyn Manson collapsed during a joint show with Rob Zombie Saturday night at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion just outside of Houston. The rocker fell to his knees during "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" and was promptly helped off stage by several crew members.
Rob Zombie was forced to carry on without Manson and tried to ease the worried crowd by encouraging them to sing louder. " I need a partner for the next song so let's sing it really loud and make him feel better," said Zombie.
Manson, whose actual name is Brian Hugh Warner, was late to the stage that night but is said to have put on a very strong show up until his collapse.

The 49-year-old rock star sent out a tweet following the show assuring fans that he was alright but was under doctor's care. It had been clear during the show, some said, that he was weakened to the point of exhaustion as he was essentially using the microphone stand to keep his balance.
It's unclear what caused the collapse but rumors suggest that a mixture of heat exhaustion and food poisoning is to blame.

Manson's summer tour was also affected last month in Toronto when it was announced to a crowd of disappointed fans that Manson's health would prevent him from performing. While no official information has been released regarding Manson's current health status, many are beginning to speculate that perhaps there is a more serious underlying condition plaguing the rock star.
Manson has shows currently scheduled for the remainder of August and in the fall months that follow. No additional show cancellations have been announced as of yet.
