MedExpress Opening Two New Neighborhood Medical Centers

New Urgent Care Centers in Copperfield and Pearland are the seventh and eighth MedExpress locations in Texas

HOUSTON, Texas (March 29, 2018) – MedExpress Urgent Care, a neighborhood health care provider, is opening two new urgent care centers in Texas. The center, at 16307 FM 529 Rd. in Copperfield opened Wednesday, March 28, and the center at 11826 Broadway St. in Pearland will open Wednesday, April 18, and are the seventh and eighth MedExpress locations in the state.

The centers will join three existing Houston-area locations in Katy, Pasadena and Rosenberg. MedExpress plans to open centers in Houston, Fort Worth and Arlington later this year.

“Our new centers in Copperfield and Pearland affirm our commitment to ensuring local patients, families and employees have access to patient-centered care that meets their needs and busy schedules,” said Ed Casaldi, Texas area manager, MedExpress. “We look forward to opening our new locations and providing high-quality, convenient and affordable care – one patient at a time.”

The centers will care for people of all ages, providing urgent care, employer health services and basic wellness and prevention services. Walk-in treatment is available for everyday illness and injury – including treatment for common winter ailments such as colds, flu, ear infections, upper respiratory infections, bronchitis and strep throat – as well as more advanced services including X-rays, IVs, labs, minor surgery, stitches and treatment for broken bones, sprains and strains. Local employers can use MedExpress for employer health services that include workers’ compensation, injury care, pre- and ongoing employment screenings, physicals and regulatory exams. Basic wellness and prevention services available include sports physicals, routine physicals and immunizations to help Houston-area residents maintain good health and well-being.

The Copperfield and Pearland centers will have multiple exam rooms, a procedure room and an X-ray suite. The centers will be open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with no appointment necessary. MedExpress accepts all major insurance plans and offers affordable pricing for those without insurance. The centers will be staffed by a full medical team that includes medical providers, radiologic technologists, nurses and customer service representatives. As a community health care partner, MedExpress believes strongly in the importance of working with fellow community health care providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. When necessary, MedExpress can help refer patients within the broader health care system, including referrals to specialists, primary care physicians and hospitals.
