MedExpress Opens Neighborhood Medical Center in Houston, Texas
The new center will be the 9th in Texas, making it easier for people to access quality health care close to where they live and work.

HOUSTON (June 6, 2018) – MedExpress Urgent Care, a neighborhood health care provider, will open a new neighborhood medical center in Houston Wednesday, June 6, at 13550 E. Freeway.
The Houston center will offer free sports physicals to patients ages five and up June 6-19, 2018, to mark the opening.
The Houston center is the 9th MedExpress location in Texas, including nearby centers in Copperfield, Pearland, Pasadena, Katy and Rosenberg. MedExpress plans to open new centers in Fort Worth and Arlington this summer.

The center in Houston will care for people of all ages, providing urgent care, employer health services, and basic wellness and prevention services. Walk-in treatment is available for everyday illness and injury – including treatment for common summertime ailments such as cuts, scrapes, rashes, bites, stings and burns – as well as more advanced services including X-rays, IVs, labs, minor surgery, stitches and treatment for broken bones, sprains and strains. Local employers can use MedExpress for employer health services that include workers’ compensation, injury care, pre- and ongoing employment screenings, physicals and regulatory exams. Basic wellness and prevention services available include sports physicals, routine physicals and immunizations to help Houston residents maintain good health and well-being.
The Houston center will have multiple exam rooms, a procedure room and an X-ray suite. The center will be open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with no appointment necessary. MedExpress accepts all major insurance plans and offers affordable pricing for people without insurance. The center will be staffed by a full medical team that includes medical providers, nurses, radiologic technologists and customer service representatives. As a local health care partner, MedExpress believes strongly in the importance of working with local community health care providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. When necessary, MedExpress can help refer patients within the broader health care system, including referrals to specialists, primary care physicians and hospitals.
