GALVESTON, TX β A push alert sent by the National Weather Service warning residents on the Texas Gulf Coast of a tsunami threat was only a drill, but it caused enough of a stir that officials had to go back and clarify.
The push alert, which wasn't actually suppose to be sent out to the public, went out at about 7:30 a.m. to residents living along the Texas Gulf Coast.
