Northeast Houston Homeowner Leaves As House Burns Down

Investigators are looking for the man who left his home before firefighters arrived.

HOUSTON, TX -- Investigators are looking for the owner of a home who witnesses said left his home as it burned to the ground.

Firefighters were called to the home in northeast Houston, on Bretshire Drive at Rebel Road at about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, which caused significant damage to the home.

Witnesses told investigators that the homeowner left while it was on fire, and appeared to be angry.

Investigators didn’t find anyone inside after the fire was out.
