Police Officer, Prisoner Hurt In Crash With Taxi Cab
The police officer was taking a prisoner to a downtown sobering center when his patrol car was hit by a taxi cab.

HOUSTON, TX — A Houston Police officer and a prisoner the officer was transportng were both injured after the patrol car was hit by a taxi cab Monday night.
The accident happened at about 10 p.m.at the downtown intersection of Chenevert Street and Commerce Street.
Investigators said the officer, who was from the northwest patrol division, was taking a prison to one of the city’s sobering centers, when according to witnesses, a taxi cab ran a red light and hith the patrol car, the Houston Chronicle reported. The officer and the prisoner suffered minor injuries.
The cab driver was not injured.
