Murder-Suicide: Woman Shoots Family, Kills Self

(Updated) HOUSTON, TX -- Four people have been found dead, and one woman critically injured after police said one of the women shot family members at three separate locations before taking her own life.

Police said they were called to a home in the in the 3800 block of Mount Pleasant Street in southeast Houston for a welfare check. (Sign up for Patch’s daily newsletter for your neighborhood.)

When police arrived, they found two people shot to death in an apparent murder-suicide.

Two houses down, police found the woman's step-father shot to death, and her mother seriously wounded.

The woman's mother was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in critical condition.

At about 11:30 a.m., Houston Poloice contacted Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Deputies about a possible shooting in 4800 block of Richmond Knoll in Fresno.

Deputies arrived and shooters sister shot to death inside the home.
