Red Lobster Plans Grand Re-Opening After Hurricane Harvey

Other businesses have begun to reopen their doors, with others planning to start back up in 2018.

HUMBLE, TX — Businesses in Humble that were nearly washed away by the flooding associated with Hurricane are making a slow return back to business as usual again.

One of business is Red Lobster, which plans to open their doors again on Monday, Dec. 4 with a special ribbon cutting and grand re-opening ceremony with Red Lobster’s team members, local officials and the Humble community at 10:45 a.m. at the restaurant that was not only repaired, but improved with an all-new look and feel.

On that day, Red Lobster will offer first responders*, including all police, firefighters, EMTs and paramedics, a free entrée from a special menu in appreciation for their role in helping the community in hurricane recovery efforts.

Residents in Humble and Kingwood experienced some of the worst flooding the San jacinto River and Cypress Creek crested and overran their banks during Hurricane Harvey, causing damage to homes, schools and businesses.

Since then, some businesses have begun to reopen for business, such as Three B’s Grill and Mod Pizza, while others, such as the new HEB store in Kingwood and Costco, which will reopen after Thanksgiving.
