Serial Aggravated Robbery Suspects Sought By Police
The series of robberies began Dec. 7.
HOUSTON, TX -- The Houston Police Department is searching for two suspects responsible for a series of aggravated robberies dating back to Dec. 7. At about 6:30 a.m., a victim said she was walking on the sidewalk at 1700 S. Braeswood when an unknown man approached her and forcibly took her purse by cutting the strap with a knife, HPD wrote on YouTube.
The complainant stated the suspect told her that if she did not give up her purse, he was going to shoot her. The suspect then ran towards a dark colored SUV and fled the scene. Later at the 6800 block of Bertner at 11:19 p.m. a medical doctor from MD Anderson said he saw a black SUV pull up to a stop sign, but did not pay any attention to it. The victim said he felt an unknown object strike him on the back of his neck and a man tried to snatch his bag.
"The suspect then struck him multiple times on the head and nose with a semi-automatic handgun. A brief struggle ensued and the suspect demanded the complainant’s money and threatened to shoot him. The suspect eventually gave up and ran back to the waiting vehicle," HPD added.

On Dec. 8 at about 9 p.m. the victim was walking with her sons on their street in the 200 block of E. 12th street when a dark colored SUV pulled up next to them. A man exited the passenger seat and approached the victim stating that "he was going to kill her if she didn’t give him her handbag while pointing a black small revolver toward her face," HPD said.
"At first, the complainant refused to give up her purse, however the suspect forcefully grabbed it and was able to overpower it from her. The suspect then jumped back into the waiting SUV and sped off from the location," HPD added.

About 30 minutes later, two other victims walked out of the CVS located at 1003 Richmond Ave. The victims were travellingsouthbound toward Montrose Boulevard and walked past a black SUV that was parked on the east side of CVS. The victims stated after they walked past the SUV, a man got out of the vehicle and approached them from behind. The victim stated that when she turned around, the man was pointing a black handgun at her and demanding that she give him her purse.
"The complainant stated the male then grabbed her purse, which had the straps wrapped around her wrist. The complainant and the suspect wrestled over the purse and in doing so, the suspect and complainant fell to the ground, where she hit her head on the pavement. The suspect eventually stood up and stole the complainant’s purse. The suspect then pointed his handgun at the other complainant and demanded her purse but he did not get it as they were starting to draw attention to themselves," HPD added.
The main suspect is described as being approximately 6 feet tall and wearing all black and a black beanie.
