Suspect Charged Following Fatal Crash On Sam Houston Parkway

Christian Liddell-Campbell​, 22, has been charged with a DWI following a fatal accident Dec. 14.

HOUSTON, TX -- The Houston Police Department has charged a 22-year-old man with driving while intoxicated following a fatal accident Dec. 14 in northwest Houston. Christian Liddell-Campbell was charged with a DWI in Harris County Criminal Court 4 stemming from the crash that occurred at 6200 South Sam Houston Parkway at about 9:25 p.m., HPD said in a news release.

A 22-year-old male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, HPD said.

According to police, two vehicles were involved in the crash; a tan Chrysler Town & Country minivan and a white Toyota Camry.

"Investigators learned the minivan's driver (Liddell-Campbell) was traveling southbound on West Fuqua Street when he entered the intersection at the same time as the driver of the Toyota. The vehicles collided and the Toyota's driver died at the scene," HPD said.
