Teacher Facing Charges for Improper Relationship with Student

Former teacher allegedly had sex with 15-year old girl twice, bragged about relationship with another student.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY - A teacher who is at the center of an investigation for an improper relationship with a student, turned himself into authorities Friday.

Anthony Randle, 50, who was a Junior ROTC instructor at Tomball Memorial High School, faces child sexual assault charges for allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old student at least twice.

The charges came about a week after Tomball ISD told parents Oct. 8 there were allegations that a teacher at the high school was having an improper relationship with a student.

"This is a very serious charge," Tomball ISD spokeswoman Dr. Staci Stanfield told the Houston Chronicle. "It is extremely inappropriate and hurtful when a school community is harmed in this way. This type of behavior is not tolerated in Tomball ISD."

Randle and a 15-year-old female student allegedly had sex on multiple occasions, investigators say, after he told her he had a sexual dream about her during the 2015-16 school year.

Randle, the 15-year-old student and two other students allegedly created a messaging group where the four of them talked about their various sexual exploits.

During their exchanges, Randle allegedly bragged that he’d previously had a sexual relationship with another student.

Court records show that Randle and the teen allegedly had sex on at least two occasions; once at his house in Magnolia, and a few days later in his car near a neighborhood under construction.

During their text messaging exchanges, Randle allegedly sent the girl nude photos of himself.

A friend of the girl saw those photos and told school officials.

The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office is handling the case, despite the high school being inside Harris County.

Stanfield said Randle had worked at the district for five years.

He has since been terminated.
