Teenage Bandits Caught After Failed Carjacking

Five teenage boys who robbed a Subway restaurant were caught while attempting to carjack a customer at a nearby convenience store.

SPRING, TX — Police looking for five men who robbed a Subway restaurant at gunpoint in northwewst harris County on Saturday morning.

Deputies from the Harris County Precinct 4 Office were called to the Subway restaurant at 21183 Kuykendahl Road shortly before 3 a.m. for a hold up alarm.

Deputies arrived in minutes and spoke with employees who said that five men came into the store and robbed them at gun point and ran off before deputies arrived.

Deputies began searching the area for the men, whenone of the deputies sae five men matcvhing the descrirption from the robbery, trying to carjack a customer in a nearby convenience store parking lot.

The men saw the deputy pulling into the parking lot and took off on foot.

More deputies arrived on the scene and immediately set up a police perimeter surrounding the five suspects.

All five were quickly caught, and deputies ideitified all of the yo9ung men, who were juveniles, who were younger than 16-years old.

"All 5 of these suspect’s identity will be protected because they are juveniles. They were all arrested and booked into the Harris County Juvenile System. The quick response of my deputies was key in catching these violent suspects, job well done," said Constable Mark Herman.

There was video surveillance of both crimes that prosecutors will use during the prosecution of these suspects, Herman said.

The weapon used was also recovered.

There were no physical injuries to any of the victims, however, the mental aspect of what occurred made them quiet upset, Herman added.

Investigators believe the five boys could be responsible for other crimes in the area.

The case is under investigation.
