Teenage Girl Found Shot To Death In Chinatown

HOUSTON, TX — Police are investigating the shooting death of a teenage girl whose body was discovered lying in the road early Thursday.

A man who was taking his children to school discovered the body just after 7 a.m. in the 9900 block of Sharpcrest in Chinatown.

The unidentified girl had been shot once in the chest, and her body dumped in the street, according to investigators.

Witnesses told police that they heard gunshots in the area at about 5:30 a.m.

Police are working to determine the identity of the girl.
