All classes remain canceled Wednesday after a threat was received on campus.

HOUSTON, TX -- Texas Southern University has issued an all clear notice after the entire campus was evacuated Wednesday afternoon due to a bomb threat. All evening classes remain cancelled while the University of Houston basketball game on campus this evening will be played as scheduled, Texas Southern tweeted at 4:36 p.m. The university will have normal operations Thursday.

The university was locked down for more than two hours Wednesday after a bomb threat against the university was received by the Houston Emergency Center over the phone at 1:40 p.m., Jodi Silva of the Houston Police Department told Patch. That threat was routed to the university's police department, Silva added.

Texas Southern can be found at 3100 Cleburne St.
