Three Killed in Shooting During Houston Fourth of July Celebration

Police described the shooting as "intentional."

HOUSTON, TX — Three people are dead and two others injured after a shooting during a Fourth of July celebration in Houston.

Three men were killed in the shooting that police described as "intentional" around 10 p.m. Monday in the Fourth Ward's historic Freedmen's Town, the Houston Chronicle reported. Police say three or four men showed up with guns and started shooting where a large crowd was gathered to watch the city's fireworks display.

All three victims died at the hospital. A child and another man were wounded and are expected to survive.
