Transgender Woman Found Dead Near Houston Highway

Police said an autopsy revealed the cause of the woman's death was a homicide.

HOUSTON, TX — Police in Houston are investigating the homicide of a transgender woman who was found dead near a city highway in late July.

Police revealed the cause of death and the identity of the woman on Thursday.

The victim, identified as 22-year-old Tracy Williams, was found at 11009 Katy Freeway around 3:30 a.m. on July 30. Williams was found lying the parking lot of a business at that address.

According to police, she suffered a puncture wound and severe lacerations.

Police said there are no suspects in the investigation yet.
