Two Suspects Arrested And Charged With Capital Murder
Christian Chapman, 24, was found dead outside an apartment May 29 in West Houston.
HOUSTON, TX -- The Houston Police Department has arrested and charged two suspects with capital murder in the death of a man May 29 in West Houston. Joshua Courtney Callis, 34, and Kaylondra Bragg, 20, were both charged with capital murder following the fatal shooting of Christian Chapman, 24, HPD said in a news release.
Chapman was shot and killed at 11:05 a.m. at 11980 Overbrook. Omar B. Ahmed, 24, was also shot at this location and transported to an area hospital where he was in stable condition. Chapman was found unresponsive and lying outside an apartment; paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, HPD said.
Callis was in custody in the Harris County Jail on an unrelated narcotics charge and Bragg was taken into custody Nov. 9 without incident.
