UFC Fighter Subdues Shooter At Houston Sushi Restaurant: Report
MMA fighters Kevin Holland and Patrick Robinson helped take down an active shooter along with a third customer at RA Sushi on Monday night.

HOUSTON, TX — Two MMA fighters helped subdue an active shooter at a Houston sushi restaurant on Monday night, according to a report from USA Today's MMA Junkie.
UFC fighter Kevin Holland and friend and fellow mixed martial artist Patrick Robinson helped take down the gunman after he fired a gunshot inside RA Sushi on Westheimer Road in Houston, according to the report.
The shooting occurred at around 11:30 p.m., and the gunman fired the shot in the air toward the ceiling. A third man sitting close to the shooter engaged the shooter first, a Houston Police Department spokesperson confirmed to Patch.

Jesus Edrai Cardiel Samaniego was arrested and charged with felony deadly conduct and misdemeanor unlawful carrying of a weapon, the spokesperson said. No injuries were reported in the incident.
The restaurant had 40 to 50 people inside when the shot was fired, HPD Sgt. Ricardo Salas told reporters.

Holland and Robinson rushed the gunman after he fired the shot and people in the restaurant ducked under tables, Robinson told ABC 13 Houston. The three customers wrestled the gun away from the shooter.
