Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux Now Open in College Station

Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, a leading full-service family sports bar that provides gourmet takes on game day favorites, opened in College Station at 4320 State Highway 6 S on March 2. College Station residents have a go-to community restaurant that embodies the go-getter spirit of a walk-on athlete while providing superior service and mouthwatering All-American menu items with a taste of Louisiana.

The new restaurant is locally owned and operated by Jenny and Cory Davis, who met as students at Texas A&M University. Cory was a Walk-On player at the university during his student tenure and was inspired by his cousin to play as an Aggie, who played on the team when Cory was younger. Once Cory and Jenny graduated and got married, the two lived in Lafayette and fell in love with Cajun food and specifically with Walk-On’s. After meeting with a client who happened to be the brother of Brandon Landry, founder of Walk-On’s, the couple decided to begin the process of bringing the restaurant to College Station.

“While Jenny and I lived in Lafayette, we fell in love with the food, service and atmosphere of Walk-On’s,” said Cory. “Texas A&M has always been a special place for Jenny and I, so we’re excited to bring Walk-On’s to the community and feel certain that it will make a great addition to College Station.”

Walk-On’s diverse menu has offerings ranging from unique twists on game day staples – such as a Smoked Gouda Turkey Burger, Boom Boom Shrimp PoBoy, and Cajundillas, to upscale takes on Louisiana mainstays – such as Crawfish Etou-Ways, Mardi Gras Mahi, and Duck and Andouille Gumbo. Its innovative menu provides vast and flavorful dishes for every guest.
