Weather Alert: Houston Area Under Tornado Watch Until 6 p.m. [UPDATED]
Most of southeast Texas is under a tornado watch until 6 p.m., and a flash flood watch until 7 p.m.

HOUSTON, TX -- The National Weather Service has extended a tornado watch until 6 p.m.. for areas northwest of Houston, Harris County and Montgomery County.
The National Weather Servicce issued a gtornado watch until 1 p.m. for residents in the Central texas counties of Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Polk, Houston, Madison, Trinity, Walker, WashingtonCounties.
Lightening and heavy rain began moving through the northwest Houston region at about 6 a.m CDT.

The National Weather Service has also issued a flash flood watch from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. for most of the southeast Texas region.
