Woman Escapes Police Custody At North Houston's LBJ Hospital

The woman, who was in an adult probation program, walked out of the hospital at about 12:30 Thursday: Report

HOUSTON, TX — A woman who was in police custody, escaped while being treated at LBJ Hospital in north Houston Thursday afternoon.

The Harris County Health District issued a code orange shortly after the woman, who was in an adult probation program, was discovered missing, KHOU reported.

In medical practices, a code orange has several meanings, including bomb threats, radioactive spills, an eternal disaster with mass casualties, or a prisoner escape.

Police have not released the woman’s name, description, or said why she was in custody at this time, KPRC reported.
