Investigation into Fatal Crash at 200 East 43rd Street

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 200 East 43rd Street about 6 p.m. last Friday (November 15).

The female victim, 54, was transported to Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer E. Clark reported:

The victim was crossing the intersection of North Main Street at the above address in a crosswalk when the driver of a white dually pickup truck traveling eastbound on 43rd ran a stop sign and struck her. The driver then fled the scene.
