Woman Run Over, Killed At Houston McDonalds

A woman in her 70s was robbed Thursday, and her attacker ran over her with his car while fleeing. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.

HOUSTON, TX — An elderly woman was run over and killed in the parking lot of an east Houston McDonald's on Thursday.

The woman, who was in her 70s, was carrying food bags and her purse out of the McDonald's located at 430 Uvalde Road when a man accosted her and stole her purse, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Department. When fleeing the scene, the man ran over the woman.

The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to authorities.

The man drove away in a dark sedan, likely an Impala with black rims, authorities said.
