WWE Superstar Booker T Throws Hat in Ring for Houston Mayor's Race
Booker T Tweets run for 2019 race against incumbent Sylvester Turner.
HOUSTON, TX — Former World Wrestling Entertainment Superstar Booker T. Huffman — aka Booker T — has announced his bid to become Houston’s next mayor in 2019.
The former wrestling great first mentioned the possibility of a mayoral run on Saturday during his radio program “Heated Conversations,” which is broadcast on Houston’s SportsRadio 610 AM.
“You heard it, 2020 I’m preparing,” Booker said during his radio show. “I’m preparing myself to run for mayor of the city.”

Early Tuesday, Huffman sent out a Tweet indicating he indeed plans to challenge Mayor Sylvester Turner for the big seat at Houston City Hall.
No word yet on if Huffman's intentions are genuine, or if they are as real as the WWE.
