University of Houston-Downtown President Loren J. Blanchard will deliver his first State of the University Address at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 8.

During this report to the community, President Blanchard will discuss the findings from the recent Listening Tour and the University’s goals for the new academic year and beyond.

The event will be conducted live in the Wilhelmina Cullen Robertson Auditorium and online.

Special guests at this event will include UHD alumna and former University of Houston System Regent Paula Mendoza and current Regent Jack Moore. Other guest speakers include Staff Council President Caroline Smith, Student Government Association President Shamika Jefferson, Alumni Council President Lalou Davies and Faculty Senate President Ed Cueva.
