Woman Dies After Crashing Into Undercover Police Car

The police car was unmarked. The woman reportedly suffered a medical emergency while driving, causing her to lose control.

HOUSTON HEIGHTS, TX -- A woman died after crashing into a Houston police car early on Monday morning. Soon after midnight, police say, she slammed her vehicle into the police car after suffering a medical emergency while driving. The accident occurred near the Crosstimbers exit on the North Freeway.

The woman's identity was not released, but was in her late 20s, according to the Chronicle. The police officer whose vehicle was hit was undercover, so the car was unmarked.

William McPherson, of the Houston Police Department, said the woman's medical emergency caused her to lose control over the vehicle, according to the Chronicle. The police officer was not injured.
