Investigators say they seized an external hard drive with thousands of illegal images and also accuse him of secretly recording a relative. He faces multiple felony counts, significant potential prison time, and strict bond conditions limiting contact with minors.
   

2. Lake Houston Dredging and Maintenance District Kicks Off Planning Effort (dredgewire.com) — If you're concerned about flooding around Lake Houston and Humble, a new Lake Houston Dredging and Maintenance District has begun organizing its long-term plan and will meet monthly at the Humble Chamber. District officials insist only a few dozen students had violations and say rules apply to all genders, while the petition argues enforcement disproportionately targets girls and urges more consistent, gender-neutral policies.
   

4. Sabine Parish SRO supervisors complete advanced leadership training in Texas (sabineparishjournal.com) — Law enforcement leaders from Louisiana just wrapped up an intensive FBI-LEEDA Command Leadership Institute hosted by the Humble ISD Police Department in Humble, bringing regional attention and professional connections to the local agency. The weeklong course focused on practical command skills like ethical decision-making, supervising difficult employees, and managing liability issues. Sabine Parish officials say the training will immediately shape how their school resource officers lead on campus.
   

5. Harris County commissioners approve $22M in bids for flood mitigation projects (communityimpact.com) — Harris County has approved $22 million in bids for major stormwater detention basins, and a Humble-based contractor, Persons Services, secured roughly $5 million of that work for the Lauder Basin project. The basins will expand floodwater storage along Greens Bayou, Cypress Creek, and South Mayde Creek, funded largely by federal disaster grants and a 2018 bond. These projects aim to reduce flooding risks for communities across the county, including areas around Humble.
