Atascocita Man Loses 100 Pounds Without Exercising

Credits diet of eating fresh fruits, vegetables and meats and getting rid of processed foods.

ATASCOCITA, TX -- The battle of the bulge can be one of the most difficult battles to wage for those trying to lose a lot of weight.

It can be especially tough for for those who have extenuating medical circumstances, such as extreme or morbid obesity, or thyroid issues.

Out of desperation, some might shun traditional diet and exercise and opt for fad diets, or other diet solutions such as Atkins, South Beach, Nutrisystem or Weight Watchers.

Tommie Whitaker, 39, of Atascocita, was one of those people.

As a person who’d struggled with weight gain for much of his life, Whitaker had tried a lot of those fad diets but none of them ever seemed to work.

But that all changed in late 2015, when Whitaker was watching a television program and learned about “The Wild Diet.”

The diet is simpler than most, and doesn’t involved the task of counting calories, or buying meal replacement shakes or the diet’s food.

It’s as simple as doing away with processed food, and eating fresh meats, fruits and vegetables.

Whitaker bought the book and began his weight loss journey, along with his wife and his son.

The changes involved making smart changes to his diet, and being willing try new vegetables he wouldn’t have considered in the past.

He removed potatoes from his staple of foods and started eating eggplant and cauliflower.

The weight began to melt off of him, and astoundingly it was happening without the benefit of exercise.

In just over a year, Whitaker has lost more than 100 pounds and has shrunk from a size 4XL shirt, to an XL, and waist size of 42, to 34.
