CenterPoint Begins Bridge Repair On West Lake Houston Parkway
Repair work will begin Thursday, Oct. 26 and is expected to continue through Nov. 3.

KINGWOOD, TX - CenterPoint officials are working on a bridge repair project at the West Lake Houston Parkway bridge, which is expected to continue through Nov. 3.
During the recent flooding of Hurricane Harvey, one of CenterPoint Energy's gas lines, located along West Lake Houston Parkway, was shut down due to the high water.
An initial phase of remediation work was performed on Labor Day weekend but additional remediation work is needed prior to the line being placed back into service, in anticipation of winter temperatures.

Residents should expect intermittent delays and lane closures during the repairs.
As a result, Council Member Dave Martin has alerted the Houston Police Department's Kingwood Substation and has asked that officers help with traffic mitigation when possible.
Additionally, traffic control measures will be in place on site including traffic barrels, traffic cones, directional signage and flagmen.
