Cold Case: Reward Increased To $20K In 2015 Atascocita Murder
Don and Reda Rentz, an Atascocita couple who were active in their community, were found murdered in their home on March 7, 2015.

HOUSTON, TX — The murder of an elderly Atascocita couple continues to puzzle homicide investigators three years later.
By all accounts, Don and Reda Rentz were a wonderful andloving couple who were enjoying their golden years, and remained active in the Kingwood community.
Don, 83, was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Coral Sea. He worked for A.G. Edwards for more than 30 years as a stockbroker, sand his wife Reda, 80, was considered an inspiration to all, earning her degree from college at age 60, and was a cancer survivor.

And that is why investigators are stymied by the killings.
On Saturday, March 7, 2015, the bodies of Don and Reda Rentz were discovered in their home, located in the 6700 block of Pacific Crest Court in northeast Harris County.

The couple’s family had last spoken with them on Thursday, February 26, 2015, and became concerned after not being able to make contact with them for several days.
Anyone with information on the murder of the Rentz’s, is urged to call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide unit at 713-274-9100.
