Construction Delays This Weekend In Kingwood
Delays are expected at West Lake Houston Parkway and Northpark Drive this week as crews work on turning lanes

HOUSTON, TX — Motorist in Kingwood will see delays with construction starting on the northbound lanes West Lake Houston Parkway at Northpark Drive on Saturday.
Houston City Councilman Dave Martin said the closures would involve the left turn lane, and is expected to reopen on Monday, Jan. 8.
This lane closure is part of phase one of the Lake Houston Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ 10) intersection improvements at West Lake Houston Parkway and Northpark Drive, which are expected to be complete Spring 2018.

Intermittent delays are expected during construction. As a result, Martin has alerted the Houston Police Department's Kingwood Substation and has asked that officers help with traffic mitigation when possible.
Additionally, traffic control measures will be in place on site including traffic barrels, traffic cones, directional signage and flagmen.
