Kingwood High School students and staff were displaced during Hurricane Harvey when flood water from the San Jacinto River poured into the school, flooding the campus with as much as five feet of water.
Much of that water pushed raw sewage from a nearby treatment plant into the school, which caused damage to the interior of the school, as well as destroying computers, band equipment, books, and destroying athletic equipment, KPRC reported.
Kingwood High School students began attending classes at Summer Creek High School near Generation Park on Sept. 11.
