HPD Awaits Autopsy Results On Body Found In Lake Houston
Volunteers cleaning along Lake Houston and FM 1960 found a trash bag with human remains inside: Police

ATASCOCITA, TX — Police are waiting on results of an autopsy on human remains that were discovered Saturday morning.
According to Houston Police homicide investigators, the remains were found in a trash bag in the 10600 block of FM 1960 by volunteers picking up trash for the roadway.

One of the volunteers flagged down an HPD Marine patrol officer on Lake Houston and reported finding a suspicious trash bag along near FM 1960.

Officers saw what appeared to be human hair in the bag. HPD homicide investigators responded to the scene and confirmed human remains in an advanced state of decomposition inside the bag.
