Humble Area Mom Jailed Again On Additional Child Abuse Charges
Janelle Peterkin, who was free on $15,000 bond Monday, was arrested again Tuesday after investigators found more evidence in abuse case.

HUMBLE, TX -- An Humble area mother accused of abusing her 1-year old son, and sending recordings of the abuse to her boyfriend’s family members, is back in jail after investigators added two additional charges related to the child abuse allegations she already faces.
Janelle Peterkin, 23, was charged earlier this week with child endangerment, but was released from jail after posting a $15,000 bond.
Peterkin is accused of abusing her 1-year old son, and sending recorded images of the abuse to her boyfriend’s family out of state.

Police said the family sent those videos to them, which prompted their investigation and a subsequent interview with Peterkin.
Police said Peterkin told them she recorded the videos three months earlier and sent them to her boyfriend, the child’s father, because she was upset with him.
Peterkin, who was out on bond, was arrested Tuesday on the charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assault (of a) family member impeding breath on the defendant.

Investigators said they added the charges after reviewing the evidence, which indicated more harm was inflicted on the child than previously revealed.
Meanwhile a protective order was issued, which prohibits Peterkin from being within 200 feet of her son at any time.
Peterkin is currently in the Harris County Jail, and her bond is set at $115,000.
