Humble ISD, New Caney ISD Close For Second Day
Schools in Humble, Huffman and New Caney are closed A wintry mix and freezing temps are on tap this week
HUMBLE, TX — Schools in Humble ISD and New Caney ISD announced late they will close again in the wake of freezing temperatures and ice kept everhyone home on Tuesday.
Temperatures plummeted below freezing and into the 20s, and forecasters are predicted a wintery mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow that caused havoc on area roads.

The Houston area was the recipient of about four inches of snow on Dec. 8, but it wasn’t enough to close schools or cause delays.
Forecasters indicated that temperatures will rise into the upper 30s late Wednesday.
