Humble ISD Opens Kingwood High And Insperity Sports Complex
Humble ISD opens Kingwood High School and Insperity Adaptive Sports Complex on the same day.

HUMBLE, TX — It was a weekend of grand openings and re-openings last weekend in Humble ISD, with two facilities opening their doors.
On Saturday, the Kingwood community celebrated the reopening of Kingwood High School.
Since the start of the 2017-18 school year, Kingwood High School students and staff were sharing a campus with Summer Creek High School students, after flood waters from Hurricane Harvey left as much as 5 feet of water in the school.

That same day, Humble ISD staff, families, and community partners participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the new Insperity Adaptive Sports Complex.
The Complex, located between Groves Elementary and West Lake Middle School, was built in partnership with the YMCA of Greater Houston, the Humble ISD Education Foundation, and the school district.
It features a barrier free playground, large pavilion, and two fields specifically designed for wheelchairs and walkers for Miracle League games.
These amenities allow children of all abilities to enjoy sports and to climb and play alongside their siblings and friends.
Humble ISD owns, maintains, and utilizes the facility during the school day, and the YMCA uses the facility during the evenings and on weekends.
